Please save the date of Thursday, September 16, 2010 for the next MPI Gulf States Chapter Meeting.
This meeting's focus will be on "Green" practices for our industry and community.
Speaker: Patrice Mercadel, Director of Marketing/Communications for Veolia Transport Sustainability is a top priority for Veolia Transport, a world leader in safe and sustainable mobility solutions. Patrice Mercadel, Director, Marketing/Communications, will discuss Veolia Transportations partnership with New Orleans RTA and the vision for the future of New Orleans transit system.

Cost: Members - $38 **Non Members - $15 - In honor of our membership drive, non members will be offered the rate of $15 to attend this meeting and if the non member signs up to become a member of MPI on site, then the registration will be free. All non-members that sign up on site will be entered into a raffle to win:

A few point from the Gulf States Chapter about the current oil spill situation
1. We are aware that the oil spill will have a long-term lasting emotional, financial and ecological impact on our region, and on our membership.
2. New Orleans and Alabama/Mississippi Gulf Coast member businesses remain fully operational, open and ready for business!
3. The MPI Gulf States Chapter encourages the global meeting planning and convention community to continue to do business with our members in the region.
4. MPI members can remain fully and accurately informed on CVB websites for the New Orleans, Mobile Bay and Mississippi Gulf Coast areas which are updated regularly with the most current information.
MPI Gulf States Chapter Sustainability Policy The Gulf States Chapter of MPI acknowledges our potential to effect the environment and is committed to making environmentally conscious decisions through the power of meetings and events.We will strive to educate all members and suppliers of their actions and contributions that may impace the environment.We will focus on decisions that support sustainability by education and "best breen practices" within our MPI community. We will maximize our resource utilization in leadership and governance, finance, communications, education, membership and administration.We are committed to building our brand and connecting our community in an environmentally sutainable way to ensure we evolve as a conscious organization.
